About Blake’s Section Lab

Shopify sections and complete pages shaped by real storefront work.

I’m Blake, a Shopify front-end developer focused on custom storefront sections and complete page systems that feel distinct, respond clearly across screens, and remain manageable in the Theme Editor.

My work combines page strategy, Liquid, CSS, JavaScript, and practical implementation inside an existing Shopify theme.

Proof behind the process

The portfolio comes from two kinds of work.

Operating-store decisions provide the practical foundation. Original concept storefronts show how that foundation can adapt to different products, customers, and visual systems.

TechRevive is an operating Shopify storefront. The five concept brands are original fictional portfolio work, not client stores.

  1. Operating Shopify storefront

    TechRevive

Building and refining a real commerce store shaped how I approach product information, service flows, theme compatibility, and the day-to-day needs of the person managing the storefront.

  2. Original concept storefronts

    Five complete page systems

Morrow Studio, Sora Skin, Ember and Oak, Formline, and Little Orbit show how the same development standards can adapt to different products, customers, information needs, and visual directions.

How I got here

Storefront work shapes how I build.

I started creating custom Shopify sections while building and refining TechRevive, an operating ecommerce store with physical products, service workflows, and interactive purchasing tools.

That work taught me that storefront code has to do more than look polished. It must support a clear customer path, fit the existing theme, respond well across devices, and remain practical after handoff.

I use the concept storefronts to apply those same standards across very different industries and page goals.

The design should feel distinctive for the customer and manageable for the person running the store.

The standard

My build principles

01

Built for the theme editor

Content, colors, spacing and layouts remain manageable without reopening the code.

02

Responsive by default

Desktop, tablet and mobile behavior are considered from the beginning of the build.

03

Designed around your theme

New sections should feel intentional inside the store rather than pasted on top of it.

04

A clear front-end scope

Deliverables and limitations stay clear so the project remains predictable for both sides.

05

Tested before handoff

Responsive behavior, editor controls and the main customer interactions are checked before delivery.

06

Built safely before launch

Work is completed in an unpublished theme copy so the live store stays untouched until review.

Choose the service that matches the scope.

Start with a focused section, a flexible or interactive build, or a complete storefront page. The Work With Me page explains where each option fits.
